About the IPL Dallas Waterline Project
Project Overview
The Integrated Pipeline (IPL) is a joint project funded by Dallas Water Utilities (DWU) and the Tarrant Regional Water District (TRWD) to supply DWU and TRWD customers with water from the Palestine, Cedar Creek and Richland-Chambers reservoirs in East Texas. The IPL brings an additional 350 million gallons of water per day into the metroplex.
The IPL to Dallas Waterline Project will connect the IPL to the Bachman Water Treatment Plant to supply additional water to DWU’s nearly 2.5 million customers.
DWU actively plans for the needs of DFW’s growing population by integrating new water sources for current and future customers.
